Pros and cons

The advantages of such designs are as follows:

  • Exact calculation of dimensions. Buying such a structure, you will not need to take measurements, since all proportions of the bottom and walls are maintained in structures of this type.
  • Almost all models have a ventilation system.
  • As a rule, all terrariums consist of two parts. a transparent base and a plastic pallet.
  • In such housing, your hamster will always be in sight, and it is very convenient to observe him from all sides.
  • The terrarium is very easy to clean.
  • This design is ideal for those owners who do not like noise.

This design also has disadvantages, although they are insignificant. During the installation of such a dwelling, the owner needs to think about how to attach the drinker. Although many people use suction cups or place heavy containers on the floor. Then the hamster will simply not be able to turn it over.

Another negative point is that in the terrarium, which is made of glass, you will not have the opportunity to pet your furry. But you can easily get it by opening the cover of the structure.

Mineral stone

As you can see, a terrarium or aquarium has both advantages and disadvantages compared to other rodent dwellings. Whether they are purchased or made by hand depends on your desire and ability to handle glass. It is important that your pet likes the new house and creates ideal conditions for him.

The filler affects not only the sanitary conditions, but also the vital activity of the pet, therefore, the choice of bedding must be approached responsibly and carefully. Packing shavings, wood chips, wood, corn and cellulose fillers are ideal options. They not only absorb negative odors and do not harm pets.

Important! Never use cotton wool, sheets of paper, rags or straw as they can injure your pet. Before buying woody stuff, pay attention that there are no conifers in the base.

As a last resort, buy sawdust, but make sure they are of high quality. Otherwise, they can strongly get stuck in the fur or damage the baby’s cheek pouches.

Aquarium fish

Aquarium shells

If the shells are too small, you can scatter them along the bottom of the aquarium, and put a couple of the same ones in one of the corners, only of a larger size. Unlike a freshwater aquarium, a marine aquarium is admired by many people, since it is quite rare among amateurs.

Shell processing

Before placing shells in the aquarium, they must be pre-treated.

If found in the sea, they must be thoroughly cleaned with a brush and then boiled over low heat for three hours. After boiling, the shells are soaked for about a day in cold water.

This is done in order to get rid of harmful bacteria and microorganisms that can be found on the shellfish.

Can shells be put in an aquarium

About the selection rules

In fairness, we note that in some cases, taking into account the features, you can still put several shells in the aquarium. The fact is that for a number of fish they are a kind of house. Some adapt the aquarium shells for a great spawning site. In these situations, and even when there is simply a desire to put a certain amount of beautiful shells in your aquarium, you can proceed from certain rules:

  • It is not allowed to place elements in the aquarium that have sharp protrusions. Otherwise, the aquarium inhabitants can harm themselves;
  • It is important that the aquarium shells are located with their entrance down. In this case, too curious fish will not be able to get inside;
  • The considered decorative elements of the underwater world must be clean. It is completely unacceptable to use as possible variants of such underwater “houses” that are varnished or painted in any color;
  • Obviously, the aquarium shells must be empty. That is, before you put them in the aquarium, you need to make sure that the previous inhabitant has probably “moved out”;
  • There should be no valuable types of shells in the aquarium. What is the reason? Otherwise, there is a high risk that these aquarium shells will change their color and texture. over, you can wait for them to completely dissolve.

In conclusion, we will point out one more important rule: all shells must be cleaned and boiled as much as possible before being placed in the aquarium.

The main thing is, before adding to your underwater world, think carefully: are seashells really necessary in your aquarium. If the answer is yes, then it is recommended to think over in advance to the smallest detail the final design of the underwater kingdom. This will allow you to determine what kind of aquarium shells are needed, as well as find out their required amount.

Can a cat eat a hamster

Cats are affectionate and kind pets, but they have a hunting instinct. A running little hamster will not leave any cat indifferent. And his subsequent fate directly depends on the nature and upbringing of the pet.

The greatest danger to hamsters is posed by street cats. Their main food is rodents. And it doesn’t matter that the kitten was brought into the house very small and never went outside. With a high degree of probability, the hunting instinct will wake up in him. Such a tandem of a cat and a hamster will end fatally for the latter.

Important! If a cat has eaten a hamster, there is no point in scolding her. She is not guilty.

Mischievous cats are no less dangerous for the hamster. This group of pets may not know the streets at all. Their hunt is associated with pampering and entertainment. Even a few minutes unattended can be lethal for a hamster. At the same time, cats will not eat a rodent, but they can fatally injure him.

There are also cats that are peaceful and without a hunting instinct. They are not familiar with the feeling of hunger and the need to get food. This temperament is possessed by pedigree and some street animals. In this case, a cat and a hamster can exist in the same apartment. They will even sleep together and play.

This applies to Persian, British and other calm, lazy breeds. Bengal, Siamese, Abyssinian cats are distinguished by their waywardness and pronounced hunting instincts. Such people will not tolerate potential prey around them.

If a kitten enters a house where there is already a rat or a hamster, the chances of living together will be good. In this case, he considers the rodent to be the owner of the house. May show interest, watch the hamster. But he will not harm him.

What to do if a cat has bitten a hamster

During hunting or active play, cats can bite the hamster. It is better not to allow such a situation. But if it has already happened, it is recommended to immediately process the bite sites. For this, any antiseptic is used. Further, it is better to show the rodent to the veterinarian. And upon arrival home, provide him with a calm and safe environment.

Important! It is not recommended to self-medicate after first aid. Wrong actions lead to irreversible consequences.

There are also opposite situations. hamsters bite a cat. First aid will be similar. An effective way to avoid any of the options is to keep each other separate.

How to keep a cat and a hamster in the same apartment

Cats and hamsters are natural enemies in nature. Therefore, without proper knowledge and the right approach, such a neighborhood in a home environment can turn into a real nightmare for everyone.

We will find out if a cat can eat a hamster, how to make friends with them, and also find out what to do if the cat nevertheless bit a rodent.

Can pets be friends

Friendship between different species of animals is a rare and amazing phenomenon. You can never predict how this or that tandem will end. Hamsters and cats can live together. The only way to make them friends is to introduce them at an early age. A kitten at 1.5–2 months is small and defenseless; it cannot harm the rodent. On the contrary, these animals will play with interest. But here, too, the breed and temperament of the kitten play an important role. Not in every case it will be possible to get along together.

Important! During the cat’s aggression towards the rodent, the owner can give him a slight click on the nose. Regular repetition helps your cat learn a lesson.

A hamster and a kitty are able to build relationships on their own. However, the owner must be nearby at all times. After all, the older the cat, the harder it will be for her to get along with the rodent.

You can also try to follow a certain sequence:

  • Pick up the kitty and bring it to the cage with the rodent.
  • Pay attention to the pet’s reaction and prevent it from grabbing the hamster.
  • Gently get the rodent out of the cage, slowly bring it to the predator.
  • Hold the hamster tight. If he fears, put him back in the cage. During a fright, he can escape from his hands, and even then the cat’s hunting instincts will work.
  • Repeat dating attempt several times.

If a hamster and a cat cannot coexist together, hope for their friendship should be abandoned. Adult animals rarely get along with another species.

How to ensure a safe neighborhood

You can create a safe and comfortable atmosphere at home if you follow some rules:

  • A reliable lock on the door will protect the rodent. The cat will show interest in him, open cages with light locks with his paws.
  • Feed pets in different places. The hamster should only eat from its own bowl. Otherwise, it will lead to displeasure of the cat.
  • Regular communication with the cat, feeding treats and demonstrating love will prevent the appearance of jealousy towards a small rodent.
  • It is better to place the cage with the rodent away from the cat’s resting place or feeding area. This also applies to the choice of the height of its placement.
  • Do not scold the cat for the manifestation of instincts, in front of which it is powerless.

A cat and a hamster in the same house is a dangerous neighborhood. Even friendly and peaceful predators can accidentally harm small rodents. Their safe life should be organized with special care. And the communication of these animals without supervision is minimized.

What to do if pets fight

If 2 animals start to fight, then buying a large cage will not solve the problem. It is better to purchase two dwellings and resettle the pets, since it will not be possible to reconcile the rodents, and they will not calm down until one of them dies. A cage of two hamsters with a septum will not eliminate serious injury to pets.

It is worth remembering that animals prefer nightlife. And if during the day they can behave calmly, this does not mean that serious accidents will not happen at night.

Can two hamsters live in the same cage: helpful tips

After buying one hamster, many people want to buy a second one, so that the pet is not bored. But putting two hamsters in the same cage is not the best solution. With this approach, the animal can be severely injured and injured. Such pets prefer to live on their own and even in nature divide the territory among themselves.

Is it possible to keep two hamsters in a common cage

They often try to place Syrian and Dzungarian rodents together. This is possible until the animals have reached puberty. In this case, two hamsters can get along together. But as soon as the hormones show themselves, the animals will fight.

Here are the reasons why two hamsters should not be housed in the same cage:

  • Clarification of relations and fights for territory.
  • Rodent competitiveness.
  • End of mating period.

On some forums, they write how hamsters lived together in the same dwelling and even played, but this applies to two females. It is better if the animal lives itself in the dwelling. So that he does not get bored, a large number of accessories should be placed inside.

It is even recommended to remove the babies from the mother when they reach one month of age. Since related feelings are unknown to these animals. In nature, females and males do not live together and do not engage in joint raising of young.

When living in pets, animals are kept only for the mating period, and then the female and male are separated.

What breeds can live together

Fights take place not only between pets of different breeds, but also between their own. Dzungariki are considered aggressive. Two pets of this breed have no place in a common dwelling. This is fraught with violent clashes. Good-natured Syrian animals, but they are also not accustomed to living together. In order to have several individuals, it is better to purchase separate dwellings. Each area should be equipped with a running wheel, teeth-grinding branches and hay. In addition, there should be a drinker and a bowl for food.

Some experts claim that animals from the Roborovsky breed can live together. When a male and a female are placed in the dwelling, an early pregnancy may occur in the female and childbirth, which she may not survive. To increase the lifespan of animals, it is worth separating even rodents of this breed separately.

So that it does not happen to the animal, you need to remember that independent is the natural and best condition for the comfortable existence of hamsters of any breed. These animals do not need connections with relatives, so living alone will make their life calm and long.

Pros and cons

The advantages of such designs are as follows:

Hamsters do well in aquariums

Many livestock breeders have doubts about whether it is possible to keep a hamster in an aquarium. All this is due to ignorance. Are you worried if this will harm your hamster? Believe me, there is no cause for concern!

If you use a structure made by specialists, then be sure that it provides everything that a home rodent needs for a full life and development. This design is made of glass (organic or conventional). The top of the aquarium is tightened with a metal or plastic mesh, which prevents the rodent from getting out of the dwelling.

To ensure ventilation, the bottom of the aquarium is drilled in several places at a distance of 10 cm from the floor.

The glass bottom is covered with felt, sawdust, hay or other material that is sold in pet markets.

The dimensions of the housing should be selected based on the size of the pet. For example, aquariums with a size of 100×40 cm are suitable for jungarians. Syrian rodents will need a larger aquarium. If desired, such a design can be made by hand. To do this, you need glass, glass glass and a tool for cutting the material. a jigsaw.

Advantages and disadvantages

The most important advantage is that in the aquarium you can provide the hamster with everything it needs to live, develop and reproduce. And it doesn’t matter what breed the pet will be.

In addition, hamster aquariums have other qualities:

  • living in such a house, your hamster will not be able to scatter food and sawdust, which often have to be removed after rodents in the cage;
  • through the glass walls it is convenient to observe the tricks of the rodent from any side;
  • a hamster living in such a house feels protected and completely safe;
  • through the aquariums, you can pet your animal, while it does not need to be removed.

Aquariums have only one drawback. they need to be washed every time they are cleaned. There is no other way to put things in order in such a house.

Despite the fact that the cage construction with metal rods for hamsters is very popular and in demand, it also has some disadvantages:

  • there is a high risk of hamster penetration outside the home;
  • a hamster living in such a cage will constantly throw bedding outside the cage, etc.

Hamster escape caught on film

When buying such a home for your hamster, choose a model made of inorganic glass. Plexiglas wears out and fades very quickly. In addition, if you are going to keep several pets in it, you will need a large-sized model. This must be taken into account, since the stay of rodents in close quarters will lead to disastrous consequences.

If you decide to purchase a terrarium or an aquarium for your pet, you should certainly take into account some of the nuances:

  • Choose a design according to the size of your pet.
  • It is better if it is a large-sized housing in which you can install additional attributes. a wheel, a nesting house, a ladder, a drinker and feeders.
  • Look for a model made of regular glass. It is durable and highly decorative for several years.

Can I use an aquarium or not?

Although this little rodent will do best in a special cage, an aquarium or terrarium is much better suited to life than a regular glass jar, where hamsters are often unknowingly housed. Why is the aquarium better? It is more spacious and freedom-loving rodent has a place to run, they are also more stable.

If you choose an aquarium instead of a cage, it must meet the following conditions:

  • Sufficient area. For example, for the life of a Syrian hamster, it is advisable to leave an area of 50 x 100 cm, for a dzungarian it will be luxurious mansions.
  • Low walls. The optimal size is 30 cm.This is important, because in this case, air exchange will occur, and it will also be possible to install a second tier, the maximum permissible height is 40 cm.
  • Additional ventilation holes. In order for the air to circulate in the rodent’s house, it is necessary to make small cracks in its walls. This is not as easy as it might seem, so it is possible precisely because of the impossibility of making additional ventilation that this type of house will have to be abandoned.
  • Lattice ceiling. This will prevent the chance of the rodent escaping and allowing air to circulate.

Can a hamster be kept in an aquarium??

by Mikhail Konovalov 02.16.

When keeping hamsters at home, an aquarium often becomes their habitat. But is it possible to keep hamsters in an aquarium? Let’s deal with this issue.

Detailed consideration

Let’s start with the disadvantages of this home option:

  • Air circulates worse in glass containers.
  • The animal will constantly be surrounded by the smell of its feces.
  • Bacteria multiply quickly if there is insufficient air circulation.
  • To prevent the pet from getting sick, its house will need to be cleaned twice as often compared to the cage.
  • It can be difficult to install a drinker, which is usually suspended. You should not put an ordinary bowl, because the baby can get wet all the time.
  • Glass is a cold material. To prevent the crumb from freezing paws, it is necessary to use a good layer of filler.

Now it is worth considering the main advantages of this choice:

  • The pet will not be able to gnaw the walls of its house.
  • The kid is not afraid of drafts.
  • Unpleasant odor spreads less throughout the room.
  • When kept, there will be much less noise from the active pastime of pets.
  • The filler will not wake up outside the animal house.

It is convenient to observe the pet behind the transparent walls, you can take a photo.

Hamsters are not characterized by developed social relationships and family ties. Under natural conditions, they do not live in families and do not need to jointly raise offspring. This makes the existence of a pair of male and female in the same territory inappropriate and also undesirable.

For reproduction of rodents, they are left together only for a short time of possible mating, in the future the boy and girl live separately. Since hamsters do not feel any attachment to relatives, babies who have reached one month of age should be isolated from the female mother.

Same sex

In addition to Roborovsky hamsters, at first, representatives of the Dzungarian and Syrian breeds of the same sex from the same litter may be an exception, if they have never been separated. Therefore, even boys can be settled together in one cage. Their peaceful coexistence can only be explained by age. But as they grow older, with the entry into puberty, pets become individual farmers, prone to dividing the territory, so each of them will eventually need a separate cage.

Is it possible to settle hamsters in one cage

By purchasing several hamsters for joint housing, people mistakenly think that this way they will help the animals not to feel lonely. But these animals do not need such communication, moreover, it is contraindicated for them. Cute and funny little animals living in the same cage can suddenly turn into ruthless fighters and destroy the “extra lodgers”.

They do not tolerate relatives on their territory, and if such appear, they will fight not until the first, but until the last blood, or until the enemy escapes. But escaping from the cage is not easy, so the outcome is obvious. the death of the weaker one. These are the natural instincts of these animals. Most often kept at home Dzungarian, Syrian and Roborovsky hamsters.

Roborovsky’s hamsters are able to live quite peacefully with whole families. This makes them the best option if you want to have several pets and observe their way of life. By placing these animals together in a transparent terrarium, at any time you can see what extraordinary briskness and amusement they are characterized by, how much irrepressible activity they show.

Can different species live together?

Hamsters are not only at war with members of their own species. They also do not tolerate pets of other breeds. Therefore, keeping even rodents of different origins is an unfortunate decision.

Can a hamster be kept in an aquarium?

How many hamsters can you keep in one cage?

It is difficult to meet a person who did not have a hamster as a child. It seems to many that there are no difficulties in the process of keeping these animals. Therefore, sometimes a burning desire to have one or more pets is not supported by a set of knowledge about the requirements for caring for them. This can become an irreparable mistake and even lead to the death of a friend, because two or more hamsters in one cage is a serious problem.

Can a hamster live alone?

If one of the owners of these animals is tormented by the question of whether their pets are comfortable alone, then they should calm down and accept the fact that not only is it better for hamsters to live alone, but they should definitely ensure such an existence. Only living alone can give a pet the most peaceful, as possible, long and happy hamster life.

Buying a cage for hamsters, choosing the right diet for them, finding time to have fun with them. this, as it turns out, is not always the most important thing. Before purchasing, you should familiarize yourself with the natural features of these animals and take them into account, only then communication with pets will bring real pleasure, and not become a reason for worries.

Can a hamster be kept in an aquarium??

Usually hamsters are housed in a cage, but there is another option for rodents to live in. an aquarium. Let’s talk about the pros and cons of a glass house.

If you still want to house a rodent in a glass house, choose the right model. You want a wide and low aquarium called a turtle. Sizes should be appropriate for the breed of the hamster. For the Syrian, the best house is 100 cm long and 50 cm wide. For a dzhungarik, such a space is a mansion, he can choose a dwelling with smaller dimensions. The height for both breeds is the same. 30cm, maximum. 40cm. The higher the wall height, the worse the air circulation. You will also need to drill the bottom of the glass dwelling in several places to ventilate the air. Perhaps this is the main problem of preparing an aquarium for a rodent. If you have never worked with glass before, it is better to ask for the help of a specialist.

Setting up the aquarium

It is very important to create a good atmosphere for your hamster. For this, the following items will come in handy:

  • running wheel;
  • a small house where the animal can hide;
  • feeder and drinker;
  • tunnels, labyrinths, bridges, ladders;
  • mineral stone, driftwood and twigs for grinding teeth.

Alternative to the aquarium. the terrarium

If you really want your pet to live in an aquarium, but you are confused by the problem of ventilation, there is a solution. purchasing a terrarium. Its main advantage is that it has dimensions that are well-calibrated by specialists and a ventilation system is already installed in it. The terrarium can consist of different materials, but most often there is a plastic pallet, which makes it much more convenient to wash it.

help urgently. can Dzungarian hamsters live in an aquarium (without water)

it will be difficult for them to keep clean water in the aquarium. you need to tie something like a drinking bowl, no matter what the Internet writes. without water, they die very quickly, there is also a possibility of jumping out of it, I never had to see how they do it, but if you leave a small hamster in a bucket for the night. in the morning he is no longer there)). Look in the ads of used cages. they are usually not very expensive, ask around from your friends. maybe they stayed with someone. And also on hamster studies)). rats turned out to be on a level more interesting in keeping than hamsters keeping a hamster. that fish, just watch him eat)))

nope we have been so dead many times buy a normal cage for hamsters

They can. Although not the best option, it’s better than a jar or bowl, as they used to often keep hamsters in an aquarium. From above, it should be closed with a grate so that they cannot jump out, and at the same time so that it allows air to pass through well. But the question is, what size is the aquarium? If it’s too small, that’s bad. The hamster should have enough space for a feeder, a wheel for running, and there is still free space for walking and building a nest. And think about how to attach a special drinker for rodents in the aquarium. The cage is simple, it is attached from the outside and pushes through the rods, and you cannot push it through the wall of the aquarium. http://hamster.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54t=5374

for dzungarian people it is inappropriate to pour water into the aquarium, these are land animals, but a drinking bowl is needed and there must always be clean water

If the aquarium is large enough and not too tall. great container for hamster, vole, gerbil! Above you need a metal mesh so that you don’t jump out. In such an aquarium, you can put a thick layer of substrate, the animal will be happy to build holes and dig. And the substrate will not scatter around the room. Give a lot of juicy feed, then you don’t have to put the drinker at all. But it will not be difficult to hang it on a wire over the edge of the aquarium. Like a running wheel.

Yes! Hamsters can be kept both in the aquarium and in the cage. I have hamsters myself. They live for 3 days in a bucket, they do not complain about the consequences. Jars, bottles or cardboard boxes MUST NOT be your hamster’s home. In general, hamsters can be kept either in a cage or in an aquarium. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.

In the cage, the hamster can exercise on twigs and grind his teeth on them. A sufficient amount of oxygen enters the cell. It is easier to wash. just unfasten the bottom. Disadvantages of the cell: first. noise. Hamsters. animals are nocturnal, in the dark their vital activity is in full swing. They scamper around the cage like mad, gnaw on the rods, and naturally make a rather loud noise. Secondly. availability to other animals. The hamster often approaches the twigs of the cage, grabs them with its paws, sleeps, leaning against them sideways. Therefore, if you have a cat or dog, it will be easy for them to get to the hamster in the cage. If you have no other animals, and you sleep so soundly that an atomic explosion will not wake you up. then the cage will be the perfect home for your hamster.

Tank Size Comparisons for Hamsters

The hamster does not make noise in the aquarium, it is inaccessible to other pets (of course, if the aquarium is covered with a breathable mesh). But the aquarium has more disadvantages than advantages. Firstly, it is difficult to wash it, because the aquarium of the right size is quite heavy, and you can easily break it. Secondly, it is poorly ventilated. the air comes in only from the top. Third, your hamster will have very little activity in the aquarium. no exercise on twigs, no teeth sharpening.

There is another type of hamster houses, it has already appeared in our country, but it is very expensive. The house consists of several plastic aquariums connected by plastic pipes. A kind of imitation of a real underground burrow that hamsters build in nature. Of course, such a house. real hamster paradise.

How to arrange housing for a rodent

A hamster cage is a perfectly acceptable option. You need to choose a product equipped with iron bars. The hamster will gnaw through wooden rods very quickly, and he will deal with plastic ones, as they say, “at once”. In addition, it is difficult to maintain cleanliness around the cage. Before you have time to put things in order, the remains of the hamster’s meal are scattered all over the place again. Using an aquarium or terrarium can completely solve this problem.

Dimensions (edit)

The size of the aquarium can vary depending on the size of the pet. For example, the length of the base and the height of the walls of the dwelling of Dzungarian hamsters is 1 m and 0.4 m, respectively. Syrian hamsters are larger than dzungarians, so a more spacious aquarium will be required. Naturally, when buying an aquarium, you need to take into account how many animals will live on one “living space”.

Hamster aquarium

Can a hamster be kept in an aquarium? Of course, this is not a completely familiar option, so the owners are quite logically afraid: will such unusual housing harm the health of a fluffy cute guy? In fact, the aquariums are professionally designed and provide everything for a normal pet’s life.

Aquarium materials. plexiglass or mineral glass. The top should be covered with a wooden, metal or plastic mesh. All these options are roughly equivalent to each other. A hamster is unlikely to be able to try a mesh on a tooth.

For the flow of fresh air, several holes are made at a distance of 100-150 mm from the floor. To ensure correct air circulation, it must be taken into account that the height of the wall does not exceed the width of the base.

Sawdust is a good option as it absorbs odors. It is not often necessary to change such a bedding. But some Homoks are allergic to sawdust, so they have to be content with paper.

Hamster terrarium

On sale there are special terrariums for rodents, with a well-functioning air circulation system. This is a room ideally adapted for the life of pets, it remains only to choose the right option. All terrariums are arranged in approximately the same way: they consist of a base made of transparent material and a pallet. It is advisable to choose a mineral glass terrarium for a hamster, since the animals scratch the plexiglass, and it quickly becomes dull.

The advantages of terrariums include the following.

  • The hamster does not disturb the owners with its noise.
  • It is convenient to observe the pet.
  • There are no smells, not even small ones.
  • Ease of cleaning.

There are drawbacks, but minor ones. For example, difficulties with fixing the drinker. This problem can be solved in two ways.

  • Purchase a suction cup.
  • Use a heavy vessel as a drinker, which is problematic to move.

There is one more drawback: you cannot stroke a Homka through the glass. But you can caress the animal if you flip the lid of the structure.

Hamster terrarium and aquarium

Usually rodents are kept in cages, but a hamster tank is also perfect for keeping this animal. If you love silence and are not ready to listen to your pet’s fuss at night, then a hamster terrarium will be an excellent choice for your pet. Such housing for a baby is very convenient, it makes it possible to keep the house clean and restrains not very pleasant odors.

Aquarium: pros and cons

The cage is hamster-friendly in its own way, but the rodent aquarium has several benefits.

  • Being in the aquarium, the animal will not be able to scatter food and litter particles outside of its housing.
  • It is convenient to observe the pet through the glass.
  • The animal in the house feels safe, so it does not hide, does not behave too fearfully.
  • You can pet your pet without taking it out of the house.

The aquarium has only one drawback: it has to be washed periodically. Dry cleaning does not work in any way.
