Despite the fact that it was grown for a long time, it was not used for food, and no one even heard about the benefits and dangers of fried seeds.

The Indians used sunflower petals and pollen to make tattoo paints, as well as to treat fevers and to prepare an antidote for snakebites. When sunflowers appeared in Europe (16th century) and Russia (18th century), they were used only as decorative flowers to decorate gardens and front gardens. However, potatoes are safe for poultry only in boiled form. The raw vegetable contains solanine, a toxic substance for poultry, which is destroyed only under the influence of prolonged heat treatment. Is it possible to eat raw or fried seeds for weight loss and various diets

Hello my dear readers. I’m sure almost every one of you loves seeds. How cool it is to play this delicious product under your favorite TV show or interesting program. But I wonder if it is possible to eat seeds while losing weight? After all, these seeds are quite high in calories due to the large amount of fat. but we eat very little of them

READ  How to feed a 1 month old beagle puppy

I asked this question for a reason. Strict diets such as Ducan or Maggi do not permit this product. But sunflower or pumpkin seeds are not empty carbs or fats. This product is good for the body.

So it is not worth excluding it completely from the diet. Nutritionists do not prohibit seeds, even when losing weight. Let’s figure out how to use this product so as not to gain weight.

Mono-diets and fasting days on seeds

To be honest, I’ve never been on such a diet. But after studying the question, I found a menu for such a diet on the Internet. Nutritionists do not recommend this diet as it is not balanced. But there are indeed results. Those who managed to hold out for a week lost weight by an average of 5 kg-7 kg. Here are some basic rules:

  • The seed diet means using only those foods that are allowed;
  • Water should be drunk at least 2.5 liters per day;
  • You need to leave the diet gradually. In the first week, one vegetable should be added to the main diet menu;
  • On the 7th day, you can enter fruits and berries;
  • Any meat products are introduced 10 days after the diet.

Now on the diet itself. You can choose either pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds. In terms of calories, they are about the same, here is what you like more. On a diet, they can only be chewed raw. If you choose pumpkin, then you are allowed to eat a plate of oatmeal for breakfast. Porridge is boiled in water, sugar cannot be added to it. For lunch and dinner. 100 g of seeds. Tea without sugar and water without gas are allowed. Snack on a handful of seeds.

If you choose sunflower fruits for your diet, you need to alternate them with pumpkin seeds. So, morning is cereal porridge on the water. Lunch. 100 g of sunflower seeds, dinner. 100 g of pumpkin seeds.

There is another extreme diet. on fried seeds. They are allowed to eat no more than 170 g per day. In addition to this product and water, nothing else is allowed. The effect will probably be, but for me it is doubtful. Sitting on such a diet for a week is fraught with the digestive tract. I think this menu is suitable for a fasting day. You will get no more than 900-1000 calories per day.

If we are already talking about diets, then I recommend a more balanced diet. This is the menu for the Maggi diet. Yet it is more varied and less hungry. The diet has helped many men and women around the world lose weight. The opinions of nutritionists on her account are not very flattering. This diet belongs to protein. If we compare it with a diet on seeds, the Maggi menu is safer.

Proteins fats carbohydrates GI

It is very important to know the BJU of the product, because Any diet involves limiting carbohydrates. It’s also very important to consider your GI level in your diet.

Harmful properties of the product

Despite its beneficial properties, this product can be harmful. I think you have more than once admired the fields of sunflowers driving outside the city by car. Near roadways, the plant absorbs cadmium, which is found in car exhaust fumes. It is a very toxic trace element that tends to accumulate in the body. On the market or in a stall, I do not recommend buying by weight. Also choose those that have been stored for no longer than 6 months.

Pumpkin seeds also have their drawbacks. They contain salicylic acid. If they are abused, especially on an empty stomach, they can lead to ulcers or gastritis. Also, excessive consumption of seeds leads to the deposition of salts in the joints. Their use should be limited for any problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Especially if you suffer from gastric acidity.

For allergies, pumpkin seeds may also be contraindicated. In principle, such a reaction can be to any product. individual intolerance.

Well, here we are with you and figured out whether it is possible to eat seeds on a diet. If the diet itself is not prohibited, you can pamper yourself once a week. Since this is a very useful and necessary product for our body.
